Well, this is my first post here. Although I’m anything but a blogger, I figure I’d try this out.
Now that Dragoncon is well over, images have finally began coming in, and I’ve gotten the pictures that I’ve been most anticipating. I’ve got to thank Bryan Humphrey for taking these wonderful shots of me. He’s been going to the con for about 4 years now, and this was the first time I remembered to seek out his shooting area.
First up is the Tony Stark Monaco suit that I made for DC last year. I brought him back again this year since I had little time to really make new stuff.
While I had little time to make new stuff, I had the insane idea of building a full Loki costume. Normally the task itself wouldn’t be considered insane for me, but I decided upon this FOUR WEEKS before the con!!! haha
While I just barely got it completed in time, there is still much that I am unhappy with. I utterly hate the poly wools that were used for the soft parts of the outfit, while I’m about 90% pleased with all of the armor. The helmet… well while it’s not 100% perfect, it also had to weigh about 20lbs or so! Safe to say that I am currently working away on sculpting a proper helmet, now that there are no immediate deadlines to have it completed.
If any other great shots pop up from other photographers, I will be sure to post them. In the meantime, please check out the rest of Bryan’s con photography for some of the other crazy outfits everyone else at the con was wearing. http://bryanhumphrey.zenfolio.com/
